Review of the agrometeorological situation of July 18, 2019
According to recent observational data, complete ripeness of grain is observed on the fields with winter cereal crops in large parts of the country. Oat and spring barley reached was ripeness, complete ripeness of these crops was registered in southern part of Belarus. Because of existing weather conditions duration of ear filling is about 2 weeks this year and only according to data from some meteorological stations – 3 weeks. Duration of ear filling decreased to 1,5 weeks on the fields most suffered from drought. Cool weather and rains slow grain drying and speed of cereal crops harvest. Grain moisture is still increased, it is close to conditioned on several observation sites.
In the end of this week conditions for harvest work will ameliorate because of decrease in the amount of rains and increase of air temperature.
