Review of the agrometeorological situation of July 25, 2019
According to recent data, complete ripeness of winter cereal crops is observed on the observation sites where no harvest work has taken place. Summer barley and oat reached complete ripeness in most of the Republic. Heavy kernel was formed on summer barley and oat on the observation sites. Wax ripeness was observed on the summer wheat in many areas of the country, ear filling continues in some areas of northern part of Belarus. Because of variable weather, moisture of cereals grain is still increases. Grain moisture is close to conditioned manly in the west and south-west of Belarus. Frequent rains slow harvest works in large parts of the country. The most unfavorable agrometeorological situation for harvest work is observed in the north-east region of the Republic where overmoistening of soil is observed in many areas after heavy rains.
In the coming days, expected rains will still slow grain drying and harvest works.
