Overview of hydrological situation of May 15, 2020
Over the past period (May 12-14) on major of rivers increase of water levels preserve, as a result conditions for river transport improved on the Dnieper near Zhlobin, on the Berezina near Bobruisk, on the Sozh near Slavgorod and Gomel.
As at May 15 increase of water levels with daily intensity of 1-10 cm is observed on the Dnieper, Zapadnaya Dvina near Ulla and Verhnedvinsk, on the Neman near Grodno, on the Berezina on the section Borisov-Berezino and near Svetlogorsk, on the Sozh on the section Slavgorod-Gomel and also on some of their tributaries. Decrease of water levels and its smooth course is observed on the rest extent of above mentioned rivers and also on the Viliya and on the Pripyat.
Unfavorable conditions for river transport are preserved on the Neman near Grodno. Water temperatures in rivers and reservoirs decreased and ranges from 7,4 to 15°С.
Increase of water levels will preserve on rivers of Zapadnaya Dvina, Dnieper and Sozh basins in the coming days, insignificant fluctuations of water levels will be observed on rest rivers. Water temperature will slightly go down.
