Information on exceedances of standards for ambient air quality (4 October - 10 October 2018)
The state institution "The Republican center for hydrometeorology, control of radioactive contamination and environmental monitoring" informs about the excess of quality standards for pollutants in the atmospheric air of the cities of the republic for the period from 4 to 10 October 2018.
In the air of Brest (Severnaya street) there was a short-term exceedance of quality standards on nitrogen oxides by 1,1-1,2 times on October, 10. The unsteady wind had prevailed, relative humidity was 97%, air temperature – +6,9°С.
In the air of Mogilev (Movchanskiy street) there was a short-term exceedance of quality standards on phenol (by 1,3 times) on October, 5. The south-west wind of 2 m/s had prevailed, relative humidity was 72%, air temperature – +10°С.
In the air of Zhlobin (Prigorodnaya street) there was an exceedance of quality standards on particulate pollutants with fractions up to 2,5 micron (average daily concentration 1,2 MPC) on October, 6. The south wind and the south-west wind of 1-3 m/s had prevailed, relative humidity ranged from 43% to 83%, air temperature – from +10,4°С to +17,0°С. There was an exceedance of quality standards on particulate pollutants with fractions up to 2,5 micron by 2,4 times and on particulate pollutants with fractions up to 10 micron by 1,05 times on October, 7. The south wind and the south-west wind of 2-4 m/s had prevailed, relative humidity ranged from 49% to 89%, air temperature – from +8,4°С to +19,5°С.
According to continuous observation data, in the air of Gomel (Barykin street) there was a short-term exceedance of quality standards on nitrogen oxides by 1,04 times on October, 10. The south wind of 1 m/s had prevailed, relative humidity ranged from 60% to 95%, air temperature – from +3,9°С to +11,9°С.
In the air of Minsk (Bogdanovicha street) there was a short-term increase of air pollution level with carbon monoxide (maximum concentration reached 1,6 MPC) on October, 5. The south wind of 2 m/s had prevailed, relative humidity was 69%, air temperature – +13,4°С. There was a short-term increase of air pollution level with nitrogen oxide (maximum concentration reached 2,3 MPC) from 08:20 to 09:40 in the area of Heroes of 120th Division street on October, 11. The shifting wind had prevailed, weft and windless conditions, relative humidity was 100%, air temperature – +9,5°С.
For emission regulation warnings were sent to all the natural resource users included in pattern of delivery of message about unfavorable meteorological conditions in the city of Minsk.
