Information on exceedances of standards for ambient air quality (8 August - 14 August 2019)
State institution «Republican center for hydrometeorology, control of radioactive contamination and environmental monitoring» informs about the excess of quality standards for pollutants in the atmospheric air of the cities of the republic for the period from 8 to 14 August 2019.
In the air of Brest (17th September street), there was an exceedance of quality standards on formaldehyde by 1,3 at 13:00. The west wind of 5 m/s prevailed, air temperature was +19,8°С, relative humidity – 88%.
In the air of Mogilev, there were short-term exceedances of quality standards on formaldehyde – concentrations ranged from 1,2 to 1,4 MPC in the area of Pervomayskaya street on August, 8, 12-13. There was an increase of air contamination level with nitrogen oxide from 13:40 to 18;00 in the area of Krupskaya alley on August,9. Maximum one-time concentrations ranged from 1,1 to 2,7 MPC. The west wind of 3-5 m/s prevailed, air temperature ranged from +18,5°С to +22,5°С, relative humidity – from48% to 71%. Increase of air contamination level in the area of automated station №4 (Krupskaya alley) was caused by construction works in the vicinity of station. There was an exceedance of quality standards on nitrogen dioxide by 1,2 at 07:00 in the area of Cheluskintsev street on August, 12. The wind of various directions prevailed, windless conditions, air temperature was +15,6°С, relative humidity – 83%.
