Overview of agrometeorological situation of April 14, 2022
According to the latest observations the upper 10-cm soil layer is mostly in a moderately wet state in the Brest, Gomel, Minsk and Grodno regions. This allows farms to maintain good rates of tillage, sowing of early spring grain crops, planting of flax and sugar beet that has begun. At the same time, the unstable temperature regime complicates the conditions for grain germination and the emergence of spring seedlings, the development of winter crops and perennial grasses. According to the data of most meteorological stations in the Mogilev and Vitebsk regions, the soil is still waterlogged, which hinders field agricultural work.
