Overview of agrometeorological situation of April 20, 2021
According to the latest visual data, the upper 10-centimeter soil layer in most of the territory of Belarus is in a moderately moist state. Agrometeorological conditions favor the implementation of activities for the care of crops, soil cultivation, sowing of spring grain and leguminous crops, sugar beets, and flax. In many districts of the Mogilev region, as well as in the north of the Grodno region, the topsoil is waterlogged, which makes it difficult to cultivate the soil here and slows down the rate of sowing.
In the coming days, weather conditions will contribute to the germination of grain and the emergence of seedlings of spring crops, the further development of winter crops. Expected rainfall will restrain the drying out of waterlogged soils.
