Overview of agrometeorological situation of April 26, 2022
Due to waterlogging of the soil in a large area of Belarus, unfavorable agrometeorological conditions remain for field agricultural work and spring sowing. According to the latest data of visual observations, strong and excessive moisture of the upper 10-cm soil layer is observed throughout the entire territory of Mogilev, in most districts of Vitebsk, in many districts of Minsk and Gomel regions. In the Grodno and Brest regions, the soil is waterlogged in places. The predominance of a lower temperature regime in late April-early May will hinder the growth of perennial grasses, the development of crops and fruit plantations.
