Overview of agrometeorological situation of April 28, 2023
The lowering of the temperature regime complicates the agrometeorological situation on the territory of the republic, which affects the growth and development of agricultural crops.
The average soil temperature at a depth of 10 cm has decreased and is mainly +8 +12°C. The upper layer of the soil is mainly in a moderately moist state, which allows for a good pace of spring sowing. However, due to the uneven distribution of precipitation, in a number of north-western and western regions, in the far east, as well as in the south of the Gomel region, strong soil moisture is again observed.
In the coming days, the predominance of cold weather will restrain the regrowth of perennial grasses, the development of crops and fruit plantations. The threat of night frosts will remain.
