Overview of agrometeorological situation of August 1, 2025
According to the results of an instrumental determination of soil moisture under potatoes root crops and corn on July 28, moisture reserves in the soil are good, in many districts of Vitebsk, in the northern and central districts of Mogilev and in places in the Minsk region moisture reserves are increased. The rains that have passed since the moisture was determined have further increased the moisture reserves in the soil.
The upper 10-centimeter soil layer in most of the republic is heavily moistened, which complicates the work of machinery in the fields. In early August conditions for harvesting operations in Belarus will improve slightly as the rains will be short-lived and will not take place everywhere.
