Overview of agrometeorological situation of December 22, 2020
In the second decade of December, the agrometeorological conditions for wintering crops were satisfactory. According to snow survey data, snow is absent in most of the territory of Belarus, and insignificant snow cover is observed in the Eastern and Central regions of the country. The soil temperature at the depth of the tillering node of winter grain crops and the root collar of perennial grasses is higher than optimal values.
In the near future, the agrometeorological situation will not change significantly, while dangerous agrometeorological phenomena aren’t expected for winter crops.
