Overview of agrometeorological situation of February 16, 2022
Under the influence of thaw weather, the snow cover on the fields with wintering crops thawed and compacted, in the southwestern part of the republic it completely collapsed. The depth of soil freezing ranges from 1-20 cm, mainly in the east, in a number of northern and north-western regions of the republic it reached 25-50 cm.
The prevailing soil temperature at the depth of the tillering node of winter crops is kept above the optimal values. In areas where snow cover persists, at this soil temperature during wintering, plants have an increased consumption of nutrients, which can lead to weakening of crops.
