Overview of agrometeorological situation of July 22, 2022
According to the results of instrumental determination of soil moisture in most of the republic the reserves of productive moisture in a half-meter soil layer are good under potatoes, root crops, corn, grasses, as well as under grain crops, where the ear is still filling. In a number of districts of the Vitebsk and in certain districts of the Brest and Minsk regions, waterlogging of the soil was observed after heavy rains. According to individual weather stations in the south of the country, moisture reserves remained satisfactory. In the near future, the abundance of heat and moisture will contribute to the formation of agricultural crops. Precipitation expected at the end of this week may expand the area with waterlogging of the soil.
