Overview of agrometeorological situation of June 11, 2021
In the first ten days of June, due to the lack of precipitation almost throughout the territory of Belarus, there was a decrease in the moisture content in the soil. Nevertheless, after heavy rains in May in most areas, the reserves of productive moisture in the soil still remain sufficient for the normal growth and development of plants. Increased moisture reserves in the 50-centimeter layer persist on heavy soils in some northwestern and central regions of the country. As a result of precipitation deficit in the west of the Gomel region, in some places in the Brest, Grodno and in the south-west of the Vitebsk region, the reserves of productive moisture in the soil under grain crops decreased to satisfactory, in areas with the lightest in texture soils was to low.
Passing rains replenish soil moisture reserves unevenly. In the near future, in some places a deficiency of moisture in the soil may persist.
