Overview of agrometeorological situation of June 16, 2020
Prevalence of low temperature this spring complicated conditions for emergence of seedlings and further corn development.
Recently established warm weather and sufficient moisture supply contribute to corn leaves growth. There are 5-7 leaves on average on plants according to recent data, third leaves are noted on latest crops. Development of corn lags behind last year due to prevailing agrometeorological situation in mid-June. Visual assessments corn state on observation sites are mostly good, state is satisfactory in Vitebsk and in some places in Gomel region. Agrometeorological conditions for corn green mass formation will be favorable in the near future.
