Overview of agrometeorological situation of June 18, 2024
According to the latest visual observations, the upper 10-centimeter soil layer is well moistened in most of the territory of Belarus. This allows for good quality loosening of row spacing of vegetable and row crops, hoeing of potatoes. In areas where the most intense rains were observed, the topsoil is heavily moistened, and field agricultural work is difficult in such areas. Due to the uneven distribution of precipitation and the increase in temperature in recent days, in some areas of the republic there is a weak moistening of the upper soil layer. The average soil temperature at a depth of 10 cm has increased and is mainly +20 +23 °C.
The rains expected in the near future will maintain sufficient reserves of soil moisture. The agrometeorological situation due to the good moisture supply of plants will develop quite favorably.
