Overview of agrometeorological situation of May 23, 2023
The predominance of warm weather contributed to the growth of the vegetative mass of perennial grasses; in the observation areas, the assessment of their condition is good and satisfactory. At the moment, enough heat has accumulated to start earing early-ripening grasses.
According to the latest observational data, the upper layer of the soil in most of Belarus is poorly moistened, in some areas it is completely dried up. Good soil moisture at a depth of 10 cm is observed mainly in the Brest region. In the near future, due to the lack of precipitation, there will be a further loss of moisture from the soil.
