Overview of agrometeorological situation of October 7, 2022
The agrometeorological conditions for sowing winter grain crops on the territory of Belarus were ambiguous. In early October, after heavy rains, the areas with waterlogged soil significantly increased. Carrying out field agricultural work, especially in the northern region and in the eastern part of the country, proved difficult.
According to the latest data, shoots and a third leaf are observed in the observed fields of winter cereals, MS Kostyukovichi registered tillering in wheat. Grain germination takes place in late crops.
In the near future, moderately warm weather will contribute to the growth and development of winter crops. In areas with waterlogged soil, rather difficult conditions remain for field work. Due to the threat of frost in the coming week, dug-out agricultural products should not be left without shelter.
