Overview of agrometeorological situation of September 15, 2020
Growth of sugar beet root crops took place in warm weather and in most beet-growing regions with sufficient moisture supply in the first half of September. Reserves of productive soil moisture in main beet-growing zone are good according to the latest observation data.
Duration of sunshine in the first half of September in most areas of beet growing turned out to be close to long-term values and slightly longer. Established warm weather without precipitation is favorable for sugar accumulation in sugar beet root crops, however, agrometeorological conditions will get worse by the end of this week, due to unstable weather and expected decrease in temperature background.
