Overview of agrometeorological situation of September 27, 2022
The agrometeorological conditions for sowing winter grain crops in the greater part of Belarus are quite favorable.
The upper 10-centimeter layer of soil on the main massifs is in a moderately moist state. To carry out harvesting operations, first of all, harvesting corn for grain, completing the harvesting of cereals, lifting flax, the conditions due to the passing short-term rains are not the best. In addition, in the south-east of Gomel, the north of Mogilev and the north-east of Vitebsk regions, strong moistening of the upper soil layer remains. In such areas, harvesting and winter sowing is difficult. This week, the expected rains will continue to complicate the harvesting of crops.
