Review of the agrometeorological situation of November 28, 2019
In connection with lowering of temperature regime at the end of second - at the beginning of third decade of November in the Republic of Belarus the average daily air temperature went over + 5 °С to downward direction characterizing the end of vegetation season. Autumn vegetation in winter crops lasted longer than usual this year, which allowed plants to receive necessary growth. In most areas, winter crops stopped vegetation in tillering phase. Only in places in areas with late (October) sowing dates noted third leaf and seedlings. Condition of crops in main areas at the time of termination of vegetation season was assessed as “good”.
In connection with cooling plants undergo hardening. Under the influence of negative air temperatures began soil freezing. Snow cover in fields is practically absent. The decrease in temperature regime expected in early December and is not dangerous for winter crops.
