Overview of hydrological situation of April 29, 2022

As of April 29, an increase in water levels with a daily intensity of 2-32 cm is observed on the Neman, Berezina, Dnieper in the Mogilev-Loev section, Pripyat in the Petrikov-Narovlya section, Sozh near the city of Gomel and some of their tributaries. On the rest of the rivers mentioned above, as well as on the Zapadnaya Dvina, Viliya and Zapadny Bug, a decrease in water levels is observed with an intensity of 1-12 cm per day. The water is located on the floodplain on the Neman near the town of Stolbtsy and the settlements of Belitsa, Viliya near the village of Steshitsy, the Dnieper in the Zhlobin-Loev section, its tributaries the Drut River near the village of Gorodishche and the Ivnya-Bonda canal near the village of Budka, on the Berezina near the town of Borisov, the city of Berezino and the city of Svetlogorsk, its tributaries the rivers Bobr near the village of Kuta, the Svisloch near the village of Terebuty and Sushanka near the village of Susha, the Sozh in the Krichev-Gomel section, its tributaries the rivers Oster near the village of Khodun, Pronya near the village Letyaga, Conversation near the settlement of Svetilovichi and Iput near the city of Dobrush, tributaries of the Pripyat rivers Styr near the village of Lopatino, Tsna near the village of Dyatlovichi, Sluch near the settlement of Lenin, Stviga near the village of Korotichi, Ubort at the village of Krasnoberezhye, Ptich at the village of P. Slobodka and Oressa near the village of Andreevka.

On the Sozh near the city of Gomel, the water level is 15 cm higher than a dangerous high mark, there is an increase in the water level with an intensity of 32 cm per day, on its tributary the Pronya River near the village of Letyaga, the water level is 40 cm higher than a dangerous high mark, a decline is observed here water level with an intensity of 2 cm per day.

On the Neman near the town of Stolbtsy and the tributary of the Sozh river Iput near the town of Dobrush, the water levels are close to dangerous high levels, 5 cm (growth rate 13 cm per day) and 8 cm (growth rate 7 cm per day) are left before they are reached, respectively.

The water temperature in rivers and reservoirs is 6,0-12°C.

Until the end of this week, on most rivers of the Neman, Dnieper, Berezina, Pripyat basins, as well as in the lower reaches of the Sozh, water levels will continue to rise, as a result of which, on the Neman near the town of Stolbtsy and the tributary of the Sozh, the river Iput near the town of Dobrush, water levels will exceed dangerously high mark, and on the Berezina near the city of Bobruisk, the water level will approach it.
