Overview of hydrological situation of March 1, 2023

 
As of March 1, glaciation and glaciation with polynyas is observed on the Zapadnaya Dvina near the town of Surazh and settlement Ulla, Dnieper near Mogilev, Sozh near Krichev and some of their tributaries. Glaciation is observed on lakes and reservoirs and the glaciation is incomplete. 
A small (up to 8 cm per day) increase in water levels is observed on the Zapadnaya Dvina near settlement Ulla and Verkhnedvinsk, Sozh on the Krichev – Slavgorod section, Pripyat near the village of Chernichi and the town of Mozyr, their separate tributaries and some tributaries of the Zapadny Bug. For the rest of the above-mentioned rivers, as well as on the Neman, Vilia and Dnieper, there is a decline in water levels and their smooth course. The water is located on the floodplain on most rivers of the Dnieper, Berezina, Sozh, Pripyat basins, some rivers of the Neman, Vilia and Zapadny Bug basins.
On the tributary of the Pripyat river Ptich near the village of Persha Slobodka, the water level exceeds a dangerously high mark, there is an increase in the water level with an intensity of 1 cm per day. Water levels are close to dangerously high levels in the Pripyat near Petrikov and its tributary the Sluch River near settlement Lenin, 6 cm and 11 cm remain until they are reached, respectively. 
River flooding persists in a number of districts of the Gomel region.
In the next day, fluctuations in water levels on the rivers will continue, there will be no significant changes in the ice situation.
