Overview of hydrological situation of March 25, 2022
As of March 25, ice formation with polynyas is observed on the Zapadnaya Dvina at the site of the source - Surazh, its tributaries, the Polota and the Drysa rivers. In the reservoirs Vileyskoye, Chigirinskoye, Zaslavskoye, Soligorskoye, lakes Lukomskoye, Drivyaty and Naroch, ice formation, ice formation with polynyas are observed, ice melts intensively and collapses on the spot, spaces with open water surface have increased in the ice cover. Going out on the ice is extremely dangerous! Residual landfast ice is observed on the Zapadnaya Dvina near the settlement Ulla, Verkhnedvinsk and its tributary, the Obol River.
On the rivers of the Zapadnaya Dvina, the Dnieper and the Sozh basins, spring flood water levels rise with a daily intensity of 1-30 cm. On the other rivers of the country, there is mainly a decrease in water levels and their even course. The water levels exceed the water outlet marks on the floodplain on the Dnieper near the settlement Loev, tributaries of the Pripyat the Styr river near the village of Lopatino, the Sluch near the settlement Lenin and the Ptich near the village of P. Slobodka.
The water temperature in the rivers is 0.1-7.8°C.
In the coming days, the formation of spring flood peaks will continue on the rivers of the Zapadnaya Dvina, the Dnieper and the Sozh basins, and fluctuations in water levels will be noted on other rivers.
