Overview of hydrological situation of March 29, 2022
On the 29th of March rivers of the Western Dvina basin were almost completely cleared from the ice formations, ashores are noted only near the settlement Surazh. In the reservoir Chigirinskoye, lakes Lukomskoye, Drivyaty and Naroch ice formation with polynyas are observed, ice melts intensively, places with opened water surfaces are increasing.
On the rivers of the Zapadnaya Dvina, the Dnieper and the Sozh basins, spring flood water levels rise with a daily intensity to 52 cm. On the other rivers of the country, there are fluctuations in the water levels with the intensity of 1-5 cm in a day.
The water levels exceed the water outlet marks on the floodplain on the Dnieper near the settlement Loev, the Sozh near city Slavgorod, tributaries of the Pripyat the Styr river near the village of Lopatino, the Sluch near the settlement Lenin and the Ptich near the village of P. Slobodka.
In the coming days the fluctuations of the water level will continue on the rivers of the Neman, Viliya, Western Bug, Berezina and Pripyat basins, and growth in water levels will be noted on the rivers of the Western Dvina, Dnieper and Sozh basins.
