Overview of hydrological situation of March 7, 2023

 
As of March 7, glaciation and glaciation with polynyas persists on the Zapadnaya Dvina near the town of Surazh and settlement Ulla, Sozh near the town of Krichev and some of their tributaries, on the rest of the above-mentioned rivers, as well as on the greater length of the Neman, Dnieper, Berezina, some sections of the Vilia are observed snezura, zaberegi and shugohod. There are no ice formations in the Pripyat basin. Glaciation is observed on lakes and reservoirs, glaciation with polynyas and streams, and on the Krasnaya Sloboda reservoir, ice presses against the shore.
On the rivers, there is mainly a decrease in water levels with a daily intensity 
1-9 cm. small (1-5 cm per day) rises in water levels are observed in Pripyat, as well as the Zapadnaya Dvina on the Surazh – Vitebsk section. The water is located on the floodplain on most rivers of the Dnieper, Berezina, Sozh, Pripyat basins, some rivers of the Neman, Vilia and Zapadny Bug basins.
In the Pripyat town of Petrikov, the water level exceeds the dangerously high mark by 4 cm, and on its tributary the Ptich river near the village of Persha Slobodka, the water level reaches a dangerously high mark. Water levels are close to dangerously high levels in Pripyat near the village of Chernichi and its tributary the Sluch river near settlement Lenin, 10 cm and 8 cm remain until they are reached, respectively. 
River flooding persists in a number of districts of the Gomel region.
There will be no significant changes in the level and ice regimes of rivers in the coming days.
