Overview of hydrological situation of November 21, 2022
In the past period (November 16-20), due to the established cold weather, there was a decrease in water temperature and by the end of the past week, ice formations in the form of lard, snow and snowdrifts appeared on certain sections of rivers.
As of November 21, ice formations are observed on the Zapadnaya Dvina near the village of Surazh, most of its tributaries, Vilia near the settlement Mikhalishki, Sozh near the town of Krichev, some of its tributaries, as well as on separate tributaries of the Zapadny Bug, Dnieper and Pripyat. On the lakes Naroch and Chervonoe, there are fences.
On most rivers there is a decrease in water levels with a daily intensity of 1-6 cm. On the Neman near Grodno, the Dnieper near Mogilev and Zhlobin, Sozh near Krichev and Slavgorod, water levels are below the marks limiting navigation.
On a tributary of the Pripyat river Sluch at the settlement Lenin the water level exceeds the water outlet mark on the floodplain.
In the coming days, fluctuations in water levels will be observed on the rivers, no significant changes are expected in the ice situation.
