Overview of hydrological situation of September 24, 2021

In the past period (September 21-23), rainy weather contributed to an increase in water levels on rivers, as a result of which conditions for river transport on the Berezina near Bobruisk and Svetlogorsk, the Sozh near Krichev and Gomel improved.

Currently, the growth of water levels on the rivers continues, its intensity is 1-14 cm per day. On the Ross river, the tributary of the Neman, near the village of Studenets and the Lesnaya river, the tributary of the Western Bug, near the town of Kamenets, the water levels exceed the mark of the water outlet to the floodplain.

Unfavorable conditions for the operation of river transport are noted on the Western Dvina near Vitebsk, the Neman near Grodno, the Dnieper near Mogilev, Zhlobin, Rechitsa and Loev, the Sozh near Slavgorod.

The water temperature in rivers is 6.4-13°C, and in reservoirs 9.0-12°C.

In the coming days the increase in water levels on the rivers will continue, the water levels will approach the marks of water outlet on the floodplain on the Besed river near the village of Svetilovichi (a tributary of the Sozh) and the river Svisloch near the village of Terebuty (a tributary of the Berezina). By the end of September conditions for the operation of river transport on the Neman near Grodno, the Dnieper on the Zhlobin - Loev area and the Sozh near Slavgorod will improve.
