Forecast information on minimum water levels in rivers in June 2021

Overview of the water regime of rivers in May
In May, on the rivers of the Dnieper and Pripyat basins, there was a decline in water levels, as a result of which water entered the channel on the Dnieper near Zhlobin and Rechitsa, Pripyat near Mozyr, its tributaries, the Stviga and Ubort rivers.
On the rivers of the basins of the Western Dvina, Neman, Viliya, Berezina and Sozh, an increase in water levels prevailed, due to precipitation, as a result of which water reached the floodplain on Viliya near the village of Steshitsa, tributaries of the Berezina rivers Svisloch and Sushanka, a tributary of the Sozh to the Besed river, and on Nemane near Grodno improved working conditions for river transport.
 

The water content of most rivers is close to the usual for this time of year, only the water content of the Sozh and Pripyat near the city of Pinsk is 20-40% higher than the norm.



As of May 28, the rivers are mainly experiencing a decline in water levels. The water is located on the floodplain on Viliya near the village of Steshitsy, a tributary of the Western Bug to the Narev river near the village of Nemerzha, the Dnieper near the town of Loyev, the Berezina near the town of Berezino, its tributaries of the Svisloch rivers near the village of Terebuty and Sushanka near the village of Susha, a tributary of the Sozh river Besed near the village of Svetilovichi, Pripyat near the village of Chernichi, its tributaries the Styr rivers near the village of Lopatino, Sluch near the village of Lenin, Ptich near the village of 1st Slobodka.

Forecast information on minimum water levels in June
River minimum water levels in June are expected to be generally higher than the multiyear average for this time of year.
The water levels will drop below the marks limiting navigation on the Neman near Grodno, the Dnieper near Mogilev and Sozha near Slavgorod.
