Information on exceedances of standards for ambient air quality (from the 28th of April to the 4th of May, 2022)

The state institution "Republican center for hydrometeorology, control of radioactive contamination and environmental monitoring" informs about the excess of MPC standards for pollutants in the atmospheric air of the cities of the republic for the period from April 28 to May 4, 2022.

At the background monitoring station in the Berezinsky Reserve on April 28, 2022, excess of the MPC standard established for the 8-hour period was recorded: from 08:00 to 16:00 and from 16:00 to 24:00 ozone was 1.2 MPC. The average daily concentration of ground-level ozone on April 28, 2022 exceeded the MPC standard by 1.5 times. On April 29, 2022, an excess of the MPC standard established for an 8-hour period was recorded: from 08:00 to 16:00, the concentration of surface ozone was 1.3 MPC, from 16:00 to 24:00 - 1.2 MPC. The average daily concentration of ground-level ozone on April 29, 2022 exceeded the MPC standard by 1.5 times. On April 30, 2022, ground-level ozone concentrations exceeded the maximum one-time MPC (averaging period 1 hour) from 12:00 to 13:00 by 1.02 times, from 14:00 to 15:00 - by 1.04 times, from 15:00 to 16:00 - by 1.05 times, from 16:00 to 17:00 - by 1.04 times, from 17:00 until 18:00 - by 1.09 times, from 18:00 to 19:00 - by 1.07 times. On April 30, 2022, the MPC standard established for the 8-hour period was also exceeded: from 08:00 to 16:00 and from 16:00 to 24:00, ground-level ozone concentrations were 1.3 MPC. The average daily concentration of ground-level ozone on April 30, 2022 exceeded the MPC standard by 1.6 times. On May 1, 2022, ground-level ozone concentrations exceeded the maximum one-time MPC (averaging period 1 hour) from 10:00 to 11:00 by 1.03 times, from 11:00 to 12:00 - by 1.05 times, from 12:00 to 13:00 - by 1.04 times, from 13:00 to 14:00 - by 1.1 times, from 14:00 until 15:00 - by 1.15 times, from 15:00 to 16:00 - by 1.2 times, from 16:00 to 17:00 and from 17:00 hours to 18:00 - by 1.2 times, from 18:00 to 19:00 - by 1.15 times, from 19:00 to 20:00 - by 1, 08 times. On May 1, 2022, an excess of the MPC standard established for an 8-hour period was recorded: from 08:00 to 16:00 and from 16:00 to 24:00, ground-level ozone concentrations were 1.4 MPC. The average daily concentration of ground-level ozone on May 1, 2022 exceeded the MPC standard by 1.7 times. On May 2, 2022, ground-level ozone concentrations exceeded the maximum one-time MPC (averaging period 1 hour) from 09:00 to 10:00 by 1.06 times, from 10:00 to 11:00 and from 11:00 to 12:00 - by 1.2 times, from 12:00 to 13:00, from 13:00 to 14:00 and from 14:00 hours to 15:00 - by 1.25 times, from 16:00 to 17:00 - by 1.2 times, from 17:00 to 18:00 - by 1, 3 times, from 18:00 to 19:00 - by 1.25 times, from 19:00 to 20:00 - by 1.2 times, from 20:00 to 21:00 hours - by 1.08 times. On May 2, 2022, an excess of the MPC standard established for an 8-hour period was recorded: from 00:00 to 08:00, the concentration of surface ozone was 1.09 MPC, from 08:00 to 16:00 - 1.6 MPC, from 16:00 to 24:00 - 1.5 MPC. The average daily concentration of ground-level ozone on May 2, 2022 exceeded the MPC standard by 1.8 times. On May 3, 2022, ground-level ozone concentrations exceeded the maximum single MPC (averaging period 1 hour) from 12:00 to 13:00 by 1.09 times, from 13:00 to 14:00 - by 1.06 times, from 14:00 to 15:00 and from 15:00 to 16:00 - by 1.1 times, from 16:00 to 17:00 - by 1.15 times, from 17:00 to 18:00 - by 1.1 times, from 19:00 to 20:00 - by 1.05 times, from 20:00 hours until 21:00 - by 1.02 times. On May 3, 2022, an excess of the MPC standard established for an 8-hour period was also recorded: from 00:00 to 08:00, the concentration of surface ozone was 1.15 MPC, from 08:00 to 16:00 - 1.4 MAC, from 16:00 to 24:00 - 1.3 MAC. The average daily concentration of ground-level ozone on May 3, 2022 exceeded the MPC standard by 1.7 times. On May 4, 2022, the maximum allowable concentration established for the 8-hour period was exceeded: from 00:00 to 08:00, from 08:00 to 16:00 and from 16:00 to 24:00 hours, ground-level ozone concentrations were 1.2 MPC. The average daily concentration of ground-level ozone on May 4, 2022 exceeded the MPC standard by 1.6 times.

In the air of Novopolotsk in the area of the administrative building at 49 Molodezhnaya Street, Building 1 on May 1, 2022, an excess of the MPC standard for surface ozone established for an 8-hour period was recorded: from 08:00 to 16:00, the concentration of surface ozone was 1.05 MPC (wind of variable directions was observed at a speed of 1–4 m/s, air temperature varied in the range from +5.8°С to +13.8°С, relative humidity - from 32% to 65%) . On May 3, 2022, in the indicated area, the average daily concentration of ground-level ozone exceeded the MPC standard by 1.06 times (there was a western, south-western wind at a speed of 2–6 m/s, the air temperature varied in the range from +6.7°С to +14.3°C, relative humidity - from 43% to 77%).

In the air of Polotsk near residential building No. 9 on the str. Yubilejnaya on May 2, 2022, the average daily concentration of surface ozone exceeded the MPC standard by 1.04 times (wind of variable directions was observed at a speed of 0–2 m/s, air temperature varied in the range from +7.7°С to +14.4°С , relative humidity - from 40% to 84%); on May 3, 2022 - by 1.1 times (there was a western, southwestern wind at a speed of 2–6 m/s, air temperature varied in the range from +6.7°C to +14.3°C, relative humidity - from 43% to 77%). On May 4, 2022, in the specified area, an excess of the MPC standard for surface ozone established for an 8-hour period was recorded: from 00:00 to 08:00, the concentration of surface ozone was 1.04 MPC (wind of variable directions was observed at a speed of 1 –2 m/s, air temperature ranged from -0.2°С to +3.4°С, relative humidity – from 61% to 81%). On May 4, 2022, the average daily concentration of ground-level ozone exceeded the MPC standard by 1.2 times (wind of variable directions was observed at a speed of 0–4 m/s, air temperature varied in the range from +1.5°С to +10.3°С, relative humidity - from 30% to 73%).

On May 4, 2022, the average daily concentration of particulate matter, fractions up to 10 microns in size, was 1.7 MPC in the air of the city of Gomel in the area of Barykina st., 319 on May 4, 2022 (northwest wind prevailed with an average speed of 4 m/s, gusts up to 13 m/s, the air temperature varied in the range from +7.2°C to +13.4°C, relative humidity - from 34% to 78%).

In the air of Zhlobin in the area of Prigorodnaya st., 12 on April 29, 2022, the average daily concentration of particulate matter, fractions up to 2.5 microns in size was 1.1 MPC (a northwest wind was observed with an average speed of 1 m/s, the temperature air varied in the range from +0.5°С to +14.1°С, relative humidity - from 33% to 85%); on May 1, 2022 - 1.7 MPC (there was a southwest wind with an average speed of 1 m/s, the air temperature varied in the range from +4.5°С to +15.3°С, relative humidity - from 32% to 61%); on May 2, 2022 - 1.8 MPC (there was a southeast wind with an average speed of 1 m/s, gusts up to 10 m/s, precipitation in the form of rain, air temperature ranged from +5.5°C to +18 .5°C, relative humidity - from 39% to 75%); on May 3, 2022 - 1.7 MPC (western wind was observed at an average speed of 2 m/s, gusts up to 13 m/s, precipitation in the form of rain, air temperature ranged from +6.3°C to +19.5 °С, relative humidity - from 38% to 92%); on May 4, 2022 - 1.4 MPC (northwest wind prevailed at an average speed of 2 m/s, gusts up to 10 m/s, air temperature ranged from +4.9°С to +14.3°С, relative humidity - from 30% to 75%).

In the air of Penki village (Mozyr district) on May 3, 2022, an excess of the MPC standard for surface ozone established for an 8-hour period was recorded: from 16:00 to 24:00, the concentration of surface ozone was 1.06 MPC (dominated westerly wind at a speed of 2 m/s, air temperature ranged from +12.3°C to +18.8°C, relative humidity - from 35% up to 53%).

On April 29, 2022, at 19:00, in the air of Mogilev, in the area of house No. 10 along Pervomayskaya str., at 19:00, the concentration of nitrogen dioxide exceeded the maximum one-time MPC by 1.8 times (a northwest wind was observed at a speed of 2 m/s, air temperature was +10.5°C, relative humidity - 44%). Near Schmidt Avenue, 19 on May 1, 2022, the average daily concentration of surface ozone exceeded the MPC standard by 1.06 times (there was a south, southeast, southwest wind at a speed of 1–3 m/s, calm, air temperature ranged from +4.8°C to +15.7°C, relative humidity - from 29% to 51%); on May 2, 2022 - 1.07 times (south, south-west wind prevailed at a speed of 1–3 m/s, calm, air temperature varied in the range from +6.3°С to +16.5°С, relative humidity - from 46% to 71%); on May 3, 2022 - by 1.1 times (southwest, west, northwest wind was observed at a speed of 1–5 m/s, gusts up to 10 m/s, calm, air temperature ranged from +5.1°С to +17.9°С, relative humidity - from 32% to 83%), on May 4, 2022 - by 1.04 times (there was a western, northwestern, northern wind at a speed of 1–4 m/s, gusts up to 14 m/s, air temperature varied in the range from +3.8°С to + 10.0°C, relative humidity - from 30% to 61%).
