Ongoing rainfall moistens the soil and improves the water supply for agricultural crops. The reserves of productive moisture over most of the territory of Belarus are good for plant growth and development.
In the southwest of Belarus, where soil drought is observed, soil moisture reserves have been replenished, but not everywhere. The rainfall expected in the near future will improve the agrometeorological situation in the southwestern region of the country, and the water supply for agricultural crops there should be restored.
