According to the results of the instrumental determination of moisture the reserves of productive moisture in the soil in most areas are good for the growth and development of crops. Due to the uneven distribution of precipitation satisfactory and low reserves of productive moisture were observed in places in the Gomel, Brest and southern Grodno regions, primarily under grain crops. At the same time moisture reserves remain elevated in many districts of Vitebsk region, in parts of Mogilev and Minsk regions. Some weather stations in the Vitebsk region note yellowing of the leaves of grain crops due to prolonged waterlogging of the soil. In some of the observed fields crops are deposited.
In the near future the formation of the ear of grain crops, the regrowth of grasses after mowing, the growth and development of potatoes, root crops will continue to take place against the background of low temperatures and sufficient, in some areas increased, moisture reserves in the soil. Agrometeorological conditions will provoke the appearance and development of diseases.
