The sowing of winter rapeseed this year began somewhat earlier than last year. According to the latest data, rapeseed has sprouted, and on many observation plots, leaf formation has begun. The rains that fell have improved the conditions for the growth and development of winter rapeseed. According to visual observation data, on most of the territory of Belarus, the soil at a depth of 10 cm is well moistened. At the same time, due to the uneven distribution of precipitation, in many districts in the southwest and in places in the eastern part of the country, the upper layer is still poorly moistened or dry.
In the coming days, the expected rains should replenish moisture reserves in the soil and improve the agrometeorological conditions for the further development of winter rapeseed. The conditions for soil cultivation and sowing of winter grain crops will develop quite favorably.
