As of 7 April, on the Dnieper River and in the lower reaches of the Sozh River, the formation of maximum water levels during the spring flood continues. Water levels are rising here at a rate of 1–4 cm per day. On the remaining rivers, water levels are generally decreasing, with a daily intensity of up to 17 cm. In some places, a slight increase in water levels (1–7 cm per day) is observed, caused by precipitation.
On most rivers of the Dnieper, Sozh and Pripyat basins, water levels are within the floodplain.
According to data from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, flooding of bridges and sections of roads is observed in the Mstislavl District of Mogilev Region, as well as in the Gomel and Dobrush Districts of Gomel Region.
On the Neman River near the city of Grodno, the water level is below the mark that limits navigation.
In the coming days, due to precipitation, a rise in water levels is expected on certain sections of rivers.
