At present, a decline in water levels and a steady flow are observed on most rivers of the country. Increases in water levels caused by precipitation are occurring on the Viliya, the Berezina, certain sections of the Western Dvina and the Dnieper, most of their tributaries, as well as on some tributaries of the Neman.
Water levels are below the marks limiting navigation on the Western Dvina near Vitebsk, the Neman near Grodno, the Dnieper near Mogilev, Zhlobin, Rechitsa and Loyev, the Berezina near Bobruisk and Svetlogorsk, the Sozh near Krichev, Slavgorod and Gomel and the Pripyat near Chernichi and Mozyr.
On the Ross, a tributary of the Neman, near the village of Studenets, the water level exceeds the floodplain overflow mark.
Water temperature has not changed significantly and ranges from 13°C to 21°C in rivers and from 18°C to 21°C in reservoirs.
In the coming days, slight fluctuations in water levels are expected on the rivers.
