As of February 16, rivers across the country are primarily characterized by a stable ice cover and an ice cover with openings (leads), with ice thicknesses ranging from 10 to 45 cm.
A continuous ice cover, with thicknesses ranging from 31 cm to 47 cm, persists on the Vileyka, Chigirinskoye, Soligorsk, Zaslavskoye and Krasnaya Sloboda reservoirs, as well as on Lakes Naroch, Drivyaty, Chervonoye, and Lukomskoye.
Rivers are experiencing slight fluctuations in water levels, with a daily intensity of 1-8 cm.
On the Viliya near the agricultural town of Steshitsy and on the Ptich (a tributary of the Pripyat) near the village of Pervaya Slobodka, water levels exceed the marks for water overflowing onto the floodplain.
In the coming days, due to the persistence of frosty weather, no significant changes are expected in the water level and ice regimes of the rivers.
