Overview of hydrological situation of January 30, 2026

As of January 30, almost everywhere on the rivers of the country there is ice formation, ice formation with polynyas and edges, only in some sections of the rivers of the basins of the Neman, the Vilia, the Western Bug, the Berezina and the Sozh there are snow banks and ice drift. 
On the Vileyka, Chyhyrynskaye, Zaslawskaye, Salihorskaye, Krasnaya Slabada reservoirs and on the Narach, Drysvyaty, Chyervonaye, and Lukomlskaye lakes, a continuous ice cover is observed.
There are fluctuations in water levels on rivers with an intensity of mainly 1-12 cm per day. On the Neman near the Belitsa, on the Viliya near the Steshytsty, on the Berezina near the town of Byarezina, and on the Ptich River, a tributary of the Pripyat, near the village of Piershaya Slabodka, water levels exceed the marks of water overflowing onto the floodplain.
In the coming days, no significant changes are expected in the water level regime of the rivers; in the ice situation, an increase in ice thickness will be observed.
