At present, most of the country's rivers remain freeze-up with a thickness of 5-20 cm, however, areas with an open water surface have increased in the ice cover.
On the reservoirs Vileyskoye, Chigirinskoye, Zaslavskoye, Soligorskoye, Krasnaya Sloboda, lakes Lukomskoye, Drivyaty, Naroch, Vygonoshchanskoye and Chervonoye, continuous ice cover 7-24 cm thick is observed. Water on ice is observed everywhere.
Please, follow safety rules when moving on ice!
On the rivers, there is an increase in water levels with an intensity of mainly 1-28 cm per day.
The water levels exceed the marks of the water outlet on the floodplain on the Neman near the village of Belitsa, the Viliya near the village of Steshitsy, the Dnieper near the town of Loev, the Svisloch, a tributary of the Berezina, near the village of Terebuty, the tributaries of the Pripyat the Sluch near the village of Lenin and the Ptich near the village 1st Slobodka.
In the coming days, the increase in water levels will continue, as a result of which water on the river Shchara, a tributary of the Neman, will reach the floodplain. No significant changes are expected in ice conditions.
