Overview of hydrological situation of August 5, 2026

As of August 5, water levels on the country's rivers are decreasing, with an intensity of mainly 1–11 cm per day. Only on the Neman near Grodno, and on some tributaries of the Western Bug, Berezina, and Pripyat, is there a slight (1–2 cm per day) increase in water levels.
On the Ros River, a tributary of the Neman, near the village of Studenets, the water level exceeds the floodplain inundation mark.
On the Western Dvina near Vitebsk, the Neman near Grodno, the Dnieper near Mogilev, Zhlobin, and the urban settlement of Loyev, the Berezina near Babruysk and Svetlogorsk, the Sozh near Krichev, Slavgorod, Gomel, and the Pripyat near the village of Chernichi and Mozyr, water levels are below the marks that limit navigation.
Water temperatures have risen and range from 16°C to 26°C in rivers, and from 22°C to 26°C in water bodies.
In the coming days, the decrease in water levels will continue on most rivers, and water temperatures will rise.
