During the past period (1-5 July), a decline in water levels was observed on the rivers, as a result of which, on the Dnieper near Rechitsa and the Berezina near Svetlogorsk, water levels dropped below dangerously low marks.
As of 6 July, on the rivers of the Neman and Viliya basins, a rise in water levels prevails, while on the rivers of the Western Dvina, Dnieper, Berezina, Sozh and Pripyat basins, a decline in water levels and a steady course are mainly observed.
On the Western Dvina near Vitebsk, the Neman near Grodno, the Dnieper near Mogilev, Zhlobin, Rechitsa and Loyev, the Berezina near Bobruisk and Svetlogorsk, the Sozh near Krichev, Slavgorod and Gomel, water levels are below the marks limiting navigation.
Water temperature has decreased and ranges from 15°C to 24°C in rivers, and from 18°C to 22°C in water bodies.
In the coming days, water level fluctuations with a tendency to decrease will be observed on the rivers.
