Overview of hydrological situation of March 3, 2026

Over the past 24 hours, the tributary of the Viliya river Stracha near the village of Olkhovka, a tributary of the Berezina the river Svisloch near the village of Terebuty, as well l as tributaries of the Pripyat the Neslukha River near the urban-type settlement Rudsk and the Bychok canal (a tributary of the Pripyat) near the urban-type settlement Ozerany have become completely free of ice formations.
As of March 3, glaciation is observed on most rivers of the Western Dvina, Neman, Dnieper, Berezina, Sozh and Pripyat basins, as well as on Vileyskoye, Chigirinskoye, Soligorskoye, Zaslavskoye, Krasnaya Sloboda reservoirs and lakes Naroch, Driavyaty, Chervonoye and Lukomskoye. Areas with open water surface are increasing within the ice cover, and water on ice is noted.
There is an increase in spring flood water levels on the rivers, but its intensity is low (1-19 cm per day), as negative night air temperatures restrain spring processes.
On the tributary of the Pripyat, Ptich river near the village of Pershaya Slobodka, the water level exceeds the mark for water reaching the floodplain. On the Neman river near the urban-type settlement Belitsa and on the Styr River (a tributary of the Pripyat) near the village of Lopatino, water levels are close to the marks for water reaching the floodplain.
In the next 24 hours, the rise in water levels on the rivers will continue, and the melting of ice will persist.
