Overview of hydrological situation of October 26, 2026

During the past period (21-25 October), water level fluctuations were observed on the rivers; in the rivers of the Pripyat basin, a mostly slight rise in water levels was observed, as a result of which conditions for river transport operations improved on the Pripyat near the village of Chernichi.
As of 26 October, a rise in water levels (1-11 cm per day) is recorded on the Viliya, the Pripyat, the Neman near the city of Mosty, the Dnieper near the city of Orsha, the Berezina near the city of Borisov, some of their tributaries, as well as on certain tributaries of the Western Dvina. Along the remaining stretches of the above-mentioned rivers, as well as on the Western Dvina and the Sozh, water levels are falling and showing a steady course.
Unfavourable conditions for river transport operations are observed on the Neman near the city of Grodno, the Dnieper near the city of Mogilev, the city of Zhlobin, the city of Rechitsa and the urban settlement of Loyev, the Berezina near the city of Bobruisk and the city of Svetlogorsk, the Sozh near the city of Krichev, the city of Slavgorod and the city of Gomel, and the Pripyat near the city of Mozyr.
The water temperature in rivers and water bodies ranges from 7.5°C to 11°C.
In the coming days, water level fluctuations will be observed on the rivers, and the water temperature will decrease.
