Overview of hydrological situation of September 4, 2026

Currently, on the rivers of the Neman basin, most rivers of the Pripyat basin, as well as on the Western Dvina in the section Vitebsk – Ulla, on the Viliya near the agro-town of Mikhalishki, on the Dnieper near the urban settlement of Loyev, and on some of their tributaries, a decline in water levels is observed with an intensity mainly of 1-3 cm per day. On the rest of the length of the above-mentioned rivers, as well as on the rivers of the Berezina and Sozh basins, a rise (up to 11 cm per day) in water levels and their steady course are noted.
On the Western Dvina near Vitebsk, the Neman near Grodno, the Dnieper near Mogilev, Zhlobin, Rechitsa and the urban settlement of Loyev, the Berezina near Bobruisk and Svetlogorsk, the Sozh near Krichev, Slavgorod and Gomel, and the Pripyat near the village of Chernichi and Mozyr, water levels are below the marks limiting navigation.
On the Ross River, a tributary of the Neman, near the village of Studenets, the water level exceeds the mark of water outflow onto the floodplain.
Water temperature in the rivers ranges from 12°C to 21°C, and in reservoirs from 17°C to 19°C.
In the coming days, fluctuations in water levels will be observed on the country's rivers, and water temperature will not change significantly.
