On September 5, 2026, members of Belhydromet's trade union set off on a fascinating journey that allowed them to travel through the ages for one day — on the "In the Era of Knights and Masters" excursion. The trip became not just a rest, but a genuine immersion in the history and traditions of Belarus, an opportunity to see how craftmanship and the centuries-old pages of the past intertwine.
The excursion route turned out to be rich and diverse. The first stop was Beryozovka and the legendary glass factory "Neman." The excursion participants got acquainted with the art of glassblowers and witnessed an amazing process: right before their eyes, elegant items were born from molten glass — from laconic forms to genuine works of art. Everyone was able to feel how much labor, precision, and soul the masters put into each item. A particularly pleasant moment was a commemorative gift from the factory: now each participant has a piece of this amazing craft that will remind them of the trip and of how beauty is born from fire and glass.

The next point of the route was Lida Castle — a powerful medieval fortress that stood guard over the borders for centuries. Walking through the galleries and towers, the excursionists literally felt the breath of history. The atmosphere of the place was so alive that it seemed knights in armor were about to appear from around the corner, ready to defend their native lands. Getting acquainted with the history of the castle allowed them to take a fresh look at the rich past of our country and feel the connection of times.

The excursion ended at the ethnographic complex "Volny Melnik" (The Free Miller). The complex is located in a carefully restored building of an old mill. Here participants were able not only to rest and catch their breath after a busy day, but also to become more deeply imbued with the atmosphere of bygone eras, to imagine how people lived and worked in former times.

The participants of the trip noted that the excursion turned out to be truly atmospheric and multifaceted: they managed to learn a lot of new things, take a break from the work routine, and simply have a good time together. Such events strengthen team spirit, allow colleagues to get to know each other better outside the usual work environment, and give vivid emotions that remain in memory for a long time.
Belhydromet's trade union thanks everyone who took part in the excursion and hopes that many more interesting and educational trips lie ahead!
