On September 10, a dialogue platform titled “Belarusian Woman — Symbol of Unity” was held at the House of Trade Unions, dedicated to National Unity Day and the Year of the Belarusian Woman.
The event brought together about 100 trade union activists from across the country.
The main goal of the meeting was to discuss the key role of women in society, their contribution to strengthening the family and developing the Republic of Belarus. A significant portion of the participants were young people it was especially valuable for them to hear real-life examples and practical advice from experienced speakers.
Among the honored guests of the platform were representatives of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus, the parliamentary corps, public associations and the business community, as well as a mother of many children raising five kids.

Anastasia Zhed, Chairperson of the primary trade union organization of Belhydromet, and Olga Lysenkova, leading engineer-hydrologist of the hydrology group of the Mogilevoblhydromet Branch, participated in the dialogue platform on behalf of the Belhydromet Trade Union.


During the discussion, participants touched upon a wide range of important topics: the role of women in modern society, women's health issues, measures to support motherhood and the family, as well as experience of successfully combining career and motherhood. The dialogue turned out to be rich and sincere the participants not only listened to experts but also actively shared their own opinions and stories.
The guests' stories and knowledge became a valuable source of inspiration and food for thought for the young audience. Such events help foster respect for women's work and life choices, and also contribute to strengthening social values and continuity between generations.
