The presentation of the automated meteorological measuring system AMMS-Peleng, which was put into operation at the end of November, took place at the Civil Aviation Meteorological Station (CAMS) Gomel, located on the territory of Gomel Airport.
Air transportation is the largest industry in the modern world. Its influence and demand is growing every year. Weather conditions affect almost all operations at the airport. Poor conditions can lead to flight delays or even a complete shutdown of the airport. Therefore, it is important to have modern equipment for monitoring weather conditions.
The aerodrome meteorological system AMMS-Peleng is an aerodrome weather monitoring system. It measures, processes, displays, stores, and distributes weather data. Equipping CAMS Gomel AMMS-Peleng is an important step towards strengthening flight safety and efficiency.
This system is manufactured by the open joint-stock company Peleng and is a unique product of Belarusian production.

The company has many years of successful experience in participating in such large-scale projects as the creation of target equipment for spacecraft and satellites, the modernization of meteorological services, and the fulfillment of large foreign orders, including in the field of space instrumentation.
AMMS-Peleng meets all the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization and the World Meteorological Organization.


The presentation was attended by Sergey Luzhkov, Head of the Gomeloblhydromet branch, Nikolay Murashko, Head of the Gomel Branch of the State Enterprise Belaeronavigation, representatives of OAO Peleng, D.I. Mendeleev VNIIM (Russian Federation).
