Unified Information Day at Belhydromet: a dialogue about what matters most

On October 15, a Unified Information Day was held at Belhydromet, dedicated to the topic "Traditional Values of Belarusians: Family, Society, State." The meeting with the staff was conducted by Natalya Dergach, a deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly.

Natalya Sergeyevna emphasized that the family is the fundamental unit of society and the state. In her speech, she paid special attention to the importance of bearing and raising children, as well as to a responsible approach to starting a family, emphasizing the significance of officially registered marriage.

During the dialogue, the importance of ensuring confidence in the future and material support for young families was noted.

Belarus has a comprehensive system of measures aimed at this: child allowances, the family capital program, preferential lending and housing subsidies, as well as free in vitro fertilization (IVF) attempts. As of August 1, 2026, there were more than 117,400 large families in the country, raising 386,400 children.

A separate topic of discussion was the influence of the digital environment on the formation of young people's views. It was noted that social networks and artificial intelligence are capable of spreading various ideas about family, parenthood, and life values. In this regard, the speaker emphasized the importance of developing critical thinking, encouraging live communication, and preserving the continuity of generations.

"A strong family is the foundation of the well-being of society and the state. By caring for the family and supporting parents, we create conditions for the birth and upbringing of children, and therefore lay the foundation for the country's future," emphasized Natalya Dergach. She noted that it is traditional family guidelines that contribute to preserving the stability and identity of the country, being passed down from generation to generation and determining the vector of its development.

At the end of the meeting, Belhydromet employees had the opportunity to ask their questions and receive comprehensive answers. The dialogue turned out to be open, lively, and substantive.

We thank Natalya Sergeyevna for the relevant emphases and the substantive dialogue!
