Information on the radiation situation on the territory of the Republic of Belarus on August 12, 2026

According to the data from the Republican Center for Hydrometeorology, Control of Radioactive Contamination, and Environmental Monitoring, the radiation situation in the republic remains stable.
The gamma radiation dose rate levels in Brest, Vitebsk, Grodno, and Minsk are 0.10 µSv/h, in Gomel are 0.11 µSv/h, and in Mogilev are 0.13 µSv/h, which correspond to the natural background radiation values.
At the radiation monitoring observation points located in the cities of Bragin and Slavgorod, the gamma radiation dose rate levels are 0.47 µSv/h and 0.18 µSv/h, respectively, which correspond to the long-term established values and are due to the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
