As of 5 December, a rise in water levels with an intensity of 1–8 cm per day is observed on the Dniepr, the Pripyat, the Western Dvina on the Ulla–Polotsk stretch, on the Neman near the city of Grodno, on the Berezina on the Borisov–Berezino stretch and near the city of Svetlogorsk, as well as on the Sozh on the Slavgorod–Gomel stretch. Along the remaining sections of the above-mentioned rivers, as well as on the Viliya, a decrease in water levels is occurring with a daily intensity of 1–12 cm.
On the Viliya near the agrotown Steshitsy, the water level exceeds the floodplain overflow mark.
On the Neman near the city of Grodno, the water level is below the mark that limits navigation.
Water temperature ranges in rivers from 1.5°C to 5.7°C, and in water bodies from 1.4°C to 4.6°C.
In the coming days, water levels in rivers will generally rise, while water temperature will not change significantly.
