Information on exceedances of standards for ambient air quality (26 March - 1 April 2020)

It should be mentioned, that increase of air pollution by solid particulates is observed in many cities. Meteorological conditions (lack of precipitation for a long period, light wind, calm) during these days contributed to the accumulation of pollutants in the surface air layer. 4 days were observed with daily average MPC exceedence by particulate pollutants up to 2.5 and 10 microns (PP-2,5 and PP-10) in the air of Minsk (Heroes of 120th Division street,  Nezavisimosti avenue, Korzhenevskogo street) in the reporting period. In the air of Korzhenevskogo street average daily concentration of PP-10 was 14 MPC on March 26, 1,9 MPC on March 27, 2,4 MPC on March 28 and 2,0 MPC on March 29. In the air of Nezavisimosti avenue average daily concentrations of PP-10 were 1,5 MPC on March 26 and March 27. Concentrations of PP-10 were 1,8 MPC and 1,6 MPC on March 28 and 29 respectively. In the air of Heroes of 120th Division street average daily concentrations of PP-2,5 exceeded air quality standards by 1,1 on March 26 and 27. Average daily concentration of PP-2,5 was 1,7 on March 28 and 1,3 on March 29.  Wind of variable directions prevailed, calm, air temperature ranged from -6,4°С to +11,0°С, relative humidity ranged from 23% to 89% on March 26. Weak north, the north-east wind prevailed, air temperature ranged from -3,7°С to +13,2°С, relative humidity ranged from 21% to 84% on March 27. Weak north-east wind, wind of various directions prevailed, calm, air temperature ranged from  -2,7°С to +15,3°С, relative humidity ranged from 24% to 87% on March 28. The north, the north-west wind, the north-east wind of 1-4 m/s, wind of various directions prevailed, calm, air temperature ranged from  +1,2°С to +15,1°С, relative humidity ranged from 31% to 82%. In the air of Heroes of 120th Division street increase of air pollution by nitrogen oxides was observed.  Maximum one time concentrations of nitrogen dioxide ranged from 1,2 to 1,3 MPC, maximum one time concentrations of nitrogen oxide ranged from 1,6 to 2,4 MPC from 08:00 to 09:20 on March 26. Wind of various directions prevailed, calm, air temperature was 1,7, relative humidity was  64%. Maximum one time concentrations of   nitrogen dioxide exceeded air quality standards by 1,1 on March 27 at 20:20 and on March 28 at 19:40. Weak north-east wind prevailed, air temperature was -1,2°С, relative humidity was 79% on March 27 at 20:20. Wind of various directions prevailed, calm, air temperature was +4,4°С, relative humidity was 72% on March 28 at 19:40. Average daily concentrations of  nitrogen dioxide were 1,1 MPC on March 27 and March 28. 

In the air of Gomel (Barykin street) concentration of PP-10 exceeded air quality standards during 5 days. Average daily concentration of PP-10 exceeded air quality standards by 1,7 on March 26. Weak north-west wind prevailed, calm, air temperature ranged from -5,1°С to+13,0°С, relative humidity ranged from 17% to 92%. Average daily concentration of PP-10 exceeded air quality standards by 2,1 on March 27. Weak north-west wind prevailed, calm, air temperature ranged from +5,7°С to +17,9°С, relative humidity ranged from 14% to 45%.  Average daily concentration of PP-10 exceeded air quality standards by 2 on March 28. The north, north-east wind of 1-3 m/s prevailed, calm, air temperature ranged from +4,5°С to +17,7°С, relative humidity ranged from 15% to 59%. Average daily concentration of PP-10 exceeded air quality standards by 2,8 on March 29. Weak east, the south-east, the north wind prevailed, calm, air temperature ranged from +8,6°С to +17,9°С,  relative humidity ranged from 15% to 47%. Average daily concentration of PP-10 exceeded air quality standards by 1,7 on April 1. The south-west wind of 1-6 m/s prevailed, air temperature ranged from -3,9°С to +5,6°С,  relative humidity ranged from 33% to 61%. In the air of Kurchatov street concentration of particulate pollutants (non-determined in composition silt/aerosol) exceeded air quality standards by 1,1  at 7:00 on March 26.   Wind of various directions prevailed, air temperature was -5,1°С, relative humidity was 92%. In the air of Karbysheva  street concentration of carbon oxide exceeded air quality standards by 1,1 at 13:00 on March 31. The north wind of 6 m/s prevailed, air temperature was +0,9°С, relative humidity was 36%. 

In the air of Zhlobin (Prigorodnaya street) average daily concentration of PP-2,5 exceeded air quality standards during 4 days. Average daily concentration of PP-2,5 was 2,8 MPC. Variable wind prevailed, calm, air temperature ranged from -4,0°С to +12,4°С, relative humidity was 22% to 89%). Average daily concentration of PP-2,5 was 3,8 MPC on March 27. Weak north-east wind, wind of various directions prevailed, air temperature ranged from  +1,9°С to +16,3°С, relative humidity ranged from 16% to 66%. Average daily concentration of PP-2,5 was 3,5 MPC on March 28. Wind of various directions prevailed, calm, air temperature ranged from +4,0°С to +16,6°С, relative humidity ranged from  24% to 56%. Average daily concentration of PP-2,5 was 2,8 MPC on March 29. Wind of various directions prevailed, calm, air temperature ranged from +6,3°С to +17,1°С, relative humidity ranged from 24% to 60%.    

In the air of Mozyr industrial hub (Penki village) concentration of PP-10 exceeded air quality standards during 4 days. Average daily concentration of PP-10 exceeded air quality standards by 1,1 on March 26 and 27. Weak wind of various directions prevailed, air temperature ranged from -1,9°С to +11,1°С on March 26. Weak north-east, east, south-east weak, calm, air temperature ranged from +3,6°С to +16,0°С, relative humidity ranged from 16% to 41% on March 27. Average daily concentration of PP-10 exceeded air quality standards by 1,8 on March 28.  Weak north-east wind, the east, the south-east wind of 1-3 m/s prevailed, air temperature ranged from +6,7°С to +16,4°С, relative humidity ranged from 22% to 45%. Average daily concentration of PP-10 exceeded air quality standards by 2,4. Wind of various directions prevailed, calm, air temperature ranged from +7,3°С to +17,7°С, relative humidity ranged from 21% to 52% on March 29. 

In the air of Mogilev average daily concentration of PP-10 during 4 days exceeded air quality standards in two areas of the city. In the air of Krupskaya and Movchanskogo  streets  average daily concentration of PP-10 was 2,0 MPC and 1,1 MPC respectively on March 26. Wind of various directions prevailed, calm, air temperature ranged from -4,8°С to +13,0°С, relative humidity ranged from 16% to 79%. In the air of Krupskaya and Movchanskogo streets average daily concentration of PP-10 was 1,9 MPC and 1,1 MPC respectively on March 27 respectively.  Weak north wind, wind of various directions prevailed, calm, air temperature ranged from -1,2°С to +15,2°С, relative humidity ranged from 21% to 79%. In the air of Krupskaya and Movchanskogo streets average daily concentration of PP-10 was 2,3 MPC and 1,7 MPC  on March 28 respectively. Wind of various directions prevailed, calm, air temperature ranged from -0,5°С to +17,2°С, relative humidity ranged from 20% to 71%. In the air of Krupskaya and Movchanskogo streets average daily concentration of PP-10 was 1,7 MPC and 1,2 MPC respectively on March 29. Weak north-east wind prevailed, wind of various directions prevailed, air temperature ranged from +4,4°С to +16,1°С, relative humidity ranged from 29% to 69%. 

In the air of Vitebsk (Chkalova street) average daily concentration of PP-10 during 4 days exceeded air quality standards. Average daily concentration of PP-10 during 4 days exceeded air quality standards by 1,2 on March 26. Weak west wind, calm prevailed, air temperature ranged from +0,8°С to +12,7°С, relative humidity ranged from 20% to 55%. Average daily concentration of PP-10 during 4 days exceeded air quality standards by 2,3 on March 27. Weak north-east wind, calm prevailed, air temperature ranged from -1,9°С to +13,4°С, relative humidity ranged from 23% to 80%. Average daily concentration of PP-10 during 4 days exceeded air quality standards by 2,3 on March 28. Wind of various directions prevailed, calm, air temperature ranged from -1,0°С to +15,7°С, relative humidity ranged from 21% to 72%.  Average daily concentration of PP-10 during 4 days exceeded air quality standards by 1,9 on March 29. The north wind of 2-5 m/s, wind of various directions prevailed, air temperature ranged from -0,8°С to +11,3°С, relative humidity ranged from 37% to 93%. 

In the air of Novopolotsk (Molodezhnaya 49) average daily concentration of PP-10 exceeded air quality standards by 1,1 on March 26. Wind of various directions prevailed, calm, air temperature ranged from -4,0°С to +12,0°С, relative humidity ranged from 23% to 79%. In the air of Novopolotsk (Molodezhnaya 135) concentration of particulate pollutants (non-determined in composition silt/aerosol) exceeded air quality standards by 1,1 at 7:00 on March 26. Wind of various directions prevailed, calm, air temperature was -4,0°С, relative humidity was 79%. Concentration of particulate pollutants (non-determined in composition silt/aerosol) exceeded air quality standards by 1,5 at 7:00 on March 27. Wind of various directions prevailed, calm, air temperature was -4,4°С, relative humidity was 91%.  

In the air of Grodno (Obukhova street) average daily concentration of PP-10 during 4 days exceeded air quality standards. Average daily concentration of PP-10 was 1,2 MPC on March 26. The south-east wind of 1-4 m/s prevailed, air temperature ranged from -2,6°С to +10,8°С, relative humidity ranged from 18% to 76%. Average daily concentration of PP-10 was 1,1 MPC on March 27. The east, the north-east wind of 1-5 m/s prevailed, air temperature ranged from 0,2°С до +12,9°С, relative humidity ranged from 19% to 66%.  Average daily concentration of PP-10 was 1,2 MPC on March 28. Weak north, the north-west , the south, the south-west, wind of various directions prevailed, wind, The east, the north-east wind of 1-5 m/s prevailed, air temperature ranged from +0,0°С до +16,9°С , relative humidity ranged from 17% to 76%. Average daily concentration of PP-10 was 1,3 MPC on March 29. The north, the north-west wind of 1-9 m/s prevailed, air temperature ranged from +0,2°С до +10,1°С, relative humidity ranged from 41% до 96%.
